Overview
CityServe's mission is to serve the Kingdom of God by recruiting, training and connecting volunteers and organizations in and around Boston. We maintain high Standards of Excellence for volunteers, and the leaders of volunteer groups and organizations.

Values
Our values are represented by the CityServe logo:

The arrow turning upon itself represents reciprocity. Volunteerism benefits both the volunteer and the host organization. The volunteer receives the blessing of being able to serve, as well as opportunities to learn.

The two people joining hands represents cooperation. Service is not only about completing needed tasks; it's about building relationships with people. Often our most powerful memories of service are of the people who crossed our lives.

The heart represents safe environment. Our connections need to take place within an environment where we can safely express our concerns or limitations, come to mutually agreed upon goals, and serve in physically safe conditions.

The fish represents Christ-centeredness. We seek to promote Christian service in the city by raising awareness of opportunities with churches and ministries and connecting Christian volunteers. Through materials such as the Standards of Excellence for Volunteers, we also seek to promote reflection and other ways of bringing together the service experience and the faith journey.
