Starlight's Street Life Training is one-day training that occurs bi-monthly at the Emmanuel Gospel Center's office in the South End. It is mandatory for all volunteers involved in direct service (i.e. Opportunity Resource Center, outreach, and Starlight Youth Outreach), but is encouraged for all prospective volunteers and helpful to anyone interested in learning more about homelessness.

The training provides information on engaging individuals who are homeless and offer intensive coaching to groups starting their own outreach efforts. Topics include substance abuse, mental health issues, youth outreach, relational ministry, and breaking stereotypes around homelessness.

Starlight also trains small groups from churches to do effective relational outreach to people who are homeless.
