The Boston Resource Net is the central online information resource for human service organizations and programs in Boston.

Two organizations, Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD), Boston's anti-poverty agency, and the Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC), the nation's first public health department, have come together to provide accurate and up-to-date information on the wide variety of human services available across the city of Boston. ResourceNet maintains information on 2,000 organizations and agencies. A search can be made for specific types of services by neighborhood, etc.

The Mass CARES Resource Locator is a tool to help you find local and statewide organizations that can provide services such as housing, food, financial assistance, benefits and child care. Casa Myrna Vazquez, Boston - a community-based multicultural organization dedicated to the eradication of domestic violence. While direct services to women and children are at its cornerstone, CMV is an organization moving "beyond shelter" to create a coordinated and comprehensive response to domestic violence that includes intervention, prevention, education and training, and public policy advocacy. Boston Housing Authority - the largest landlord in Boston and the largest public housing authority in New England. The BHA houses approximately 10 percent of the city's residents through its programs. In addition to providing conventional public housing, the Boston Housing Authority also provides affordable housing through the administration of several rental assistance programs. These programs include the federal Section 8 Voucher Program as well as the state funded Massachusetts Rental Voucher Program that is overseen by the Department of Housing and Community Development. The BHA aims to provide stable, quality affordable housing for low and moderate income persons; to deliver these services with integrity and mutual accountability; and to create living environments which serve as catalysts for the transformation from dependency to economic self-sufficiency. Action for Boston Community Development - the largest service for low-income families and individuals helping in the transition from being on welfare to joining the workforce. offers skills building and job training, Spanish/ESL programs, high school/ college programs, and computer camp. Greater Boston Interfaith Organization - Greater Boston Interfaith Organization (GBIO) will coalesce, train, and organize the communities of Greater Boston across all religious, racial, ethnic, class and neighborhood lines for the public good. Their primary goal is to develop local leadership and thus, develop the power of organized numbers to hold other holders of power accountable for their public responsibilities, as well as initiate action and programs of their own to solve community and economic problems. GBIO is affiliated with the Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF) and is inspired by the 65 other IAF-affiliated organizations working in cities and metropolitan areas across the country. Starlight Ministries started as a church-based ministry in 1990 and became part of the Emmanuel Gospel Center in 1994. This ministry aims to serve and disciple the homeless in Boston, and serve and equip churches and individuals to do the same. Greater Boston Food Bank The single most important source of food for food pantries and programs providing meals to low income residents of all ages. Serves 900 member programs and therefore is a source of information about food pantries and meals.

Boston High-Risk Youth Network
The Network is partnership between the United Way of Massachusetts Bay (UWMB), the Black Ministerial Alliance (BMA), the Emmanuel Gospel Center (EGC), and the Boston Ten Point Coalition (BTPC). Boston Ten Point Coalition the mission of Boston Ten Point Coalition is to mobilize the Christian community on behalf of black and Latino youth, especially those at risk for violence, drug abuse, and other destructive behavior. The coalition helps local churches including 67 member churches, to rebuild communities as it builds partnerships with community-based, government, public and private institutions that are also committed to the revitalization of the families and communities. It provides all services to youth through the work of church clergy and ministry teams; services to youth are not provided directly.
