Greater Boston Church Planting Collaborative

Encouraging church planting and multiplication movements through dialogue, common vision building and mutual learning.

There are twice as many churches in Boston today as there were 50 years ago, and new churches are birthed every month. The Greater Boston Church Planting Collaborative plays a significant role in this growth.

“God’s goal is that every Bostonian be enthusiastically active in a Jesus-permeated, local church.” - Ralph Kee, animator of the Greater Boston Church Planting Collaborative

Church planters currently active in the trenches can themselves, as peers to peers, best inform, instruct, inspire, and energize one another

"ANIMATOR" OF THE GBCPC

Rev. Ralph Kee, a veteran church planter, started the Greater Boston Church Planting Collaborative in 2000 to be a learning team and a peer mentoring fellowship.

The role of the Collaborative, then, is to “further animate what is already present,” he says, by gathering people who “intentionally know each other, imagine the impossible, and pray hard to make the sequential birthing of churches happen widely and even quickly.”
