The EGC Internship Program connects talented student learners with urban ministry practitioners. We recruit interns who will contribute to EGC’s research and initiative priorities while receiving support that advances their professional and personal development goals. The EGC internship program entails a competitive application and interview process, orientation, training, and cohort meetings.

Associate-level Internships are for those with significant ministry or related research experience. Associates are given training and professional development support on par with staff and are expected to be more self-directed in their work.

Research Fellows are highly qualified scholars who do independent research funded through a university or hospital, in partnership with EGC.

WHAT ARC INTERNS ARE SAYING

One of the greatest takeaways was to see how faith and work intersected at a place like EGC. Often, topics such as homelessness and urban education are ones I learn about in school and are not discussed in the church, so to spend time at an organization that serves as a bridge between churches and the city was eye-opening.
The staff at EGC are deeply invested in and excited about their work, and I think their foundation in Christ and hope of the Gospel allows them to work with energy and cohesion uncommon in most work environments.
I also had the opportunity to see how research can be an extension of my faith, looking into where God is working and where Christians can continue to help.
